We have the following vacancy at our waterside offices at Town Quay, Southampton.

GIS Analyst - Permanent

This post will primarily be responsible for assisting with the production of report figures, spatial analytical work and data preparation working closely with colleagues within the Data Team as well as internal and external project managers.

Applicants should preferably have a degree in GIS or a closely related subject with 1 - 2 years' commercial experience of ESRI desktop products focusing on the marine environment. However, consideration will be given to applicants who have relevant GIS experience from a terrestrial background. A working understanding of ArcGIS extensions (3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst), remote sensing data along with programming knowledge in Python would be desirable as well as good experience of Microsoft products, including relational databases (MS Access and MS SQL Server) and VB/VB.NET programming skills. It will be advantageous for the successful applicant to have project management experience, the ability to write concise project reports, prioritise workloads and be able to work under pressure.
