Head of Information ProductsRef: HoI/KW/10/01Part of the UK Natural Environment Research Council, the British Geological Survey is looking to appoint a visionary leader to join our senior team in implementing a new strategy to consolidate and enhance our position as a world leading geological survey and environmental science research organisation. You will be expected to develop and deliver geoscience data-sets that yield high impact outcomes for users including industry, commerce, government, the public and the environmental research community. You will engage with these user groups to develop an understanding of their information needs, and will develop collaborative partnerships with environmental research, information and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of information and knowledge in support of policy and decision-making. You will respond successfully to funding opportunities in the research councils, national/international government agencies and the private sector, and will communicate effectively and authoritatively as a spokesperson for BGS in the area of information and knowledge exchange especially Information Products.
