About the job:
The CSIR has a vacancy for a Senior Software Developer in the Earth Observation Science and Information Technology (EOSIT) competency area within the Meraka Institute. With the rapid proliferation of satellite image data and advances of information technology, the field of earth observation provides exciting challenges and growth opportunities for core developers. The incumbent will develop, deploy and maintain highly innovative remote sensing applications and operational systems using Big Data provided by multiple satellite sensors. This position is based in Pretoria.
