Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Spatial Science to teach GIS and Remote Sensing subjects and conduct related research within the Faculty of Science. Applicants with expertise in physical geography, including soil science, fluvial geomorphology, geohydrology or climatology are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Faculty of Science is one of the most broadly based scientific academic concentrations in Australasia, with major foci in agricultural sciences, animal and veterinary sciences, environmental sciences, allied health, medical sciences, dentistry and health sciences, wine science and nursing.
The School of Environmental Sciences offers a diverse range of programs including Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecotourism, Spatial Sciences, Ornithology and River Restoration. Programs include a strong international focus with teaching conducted in Nepal, Cambodia, Bhutan and East Timor. The School was recently ranked equal 5th in research in Environmental Science and Management by the Australian Research Council's Excellence in Research for Australia initiative.
