Business manager, Earth observation applications

As part of our strategic growth, we are expanding our portfolio of downstream Earth Observation (EO) applications. We are looking for a dynamic individual with the skills, experience and vision to help us to shape the development this key area of our business, and to lead the growth and commercialisation of our portfolio of EO products and services.
About the role
HR Wallingford has a number of exciting EO projects underway that relate to water and its impact on the health and well-being of communities, infrastructure and the environment. They include a tool that will help to predict Dengue fever outbreaks, and an early warning system that will help to prevent tailings dam failures. You will lead the transition of these innovative projects from the development phase through to successful global implementation and broader commercialisation.
As part of our flood and water management team, you will also help us to identify and realise new EO application business opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients and prepare and submit proposals to secure new business. You will also work closely with our wider business development team.
This is a 12 month fixed term contact with the potential to extend.
This role is be based at our head office at Howbery Park near Wallingford, in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. You can expect frequent international travel to a wide variety of destinations, but you will not be expected to work outside the UK for sustained periods.
