At the National Centre for Earth Observation NCEO and the Earth Observation Science Group, Department of Physics and Astronomy at University of Leicester, we are seeking a Research Associate or Scientific Programmer to work on the retrieval methods for greenhouse gases CO2 and CH4 from satellites and to apply it the JAXA GOSAT and NASA OCO-2 satellites to provide well-characterized datasets to the Copernicus program and to work with modelling groups on the inversions of carbon surface fluxes. The post holder will also work on the retrieval methods for the next-generation of CH4 satellites for the Copernicus program.
Salary Grade 7 - £32,600 to £33,574 per annum
Fixed term contract for two years
