GIS developer

Lynx Information Systems (www.lynxinfo.co.uk) is an independent upstream petroleum services company, with offices in London and Houston.

We offer a series of ArcGIS based products and services to the oil industry, and we have a world-wide client base.

Our London office is currently seeking a GIS developer to maintain and develop a range of web applications for internal company use and for external client companies.

The successful candidate will have a relevant scientific degree, and 3 to 5 years proven development experience in the following areas:

• ArcGIS Server
• PHP/Javascript/Java/JSP web development
• Oracle Spatial (or other spatial databases)
• ArcGIS Desktop experience with C#, Python, Delphi also considered

A background in geology or geophysics would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of IT and will be involved in various different development projects. He/she will be expected to travel in support of the company's activities as and when necessary, and to interact with company clients and help to build client relations.

The post is open to EU nationals or UK work permit holders. It will be permanent (after satisfactory probation period).
