Spatial Modeller

Climate Change & Ecosystem Services



A post has become available in an expanding team working on understanding and modelling the interactions between climate change and land use. The specific focus of the post is to collect and analyse spatial social, economic and biophysical data to evaluate the implications of human responses to climate change (both mitigation and adaptation) for household behaviour, land use and ecosystem services.

Applicants must have experience in Geographical Information Systems and integrated analysis of biophysical and socio-economic data. Experience in linking existing models in a spatially explicit framework would also be advantageous. Experience of inter-disciplinary working, collaborative partnerships, an ability to communicate findings in a range of media, and a track record in attracting external funding are all desirable.

Starting salary within the range £25,576 - £28,418 per annum with excellent employee benefits.
