JARIC, The National Imagery Exploitation Centre is part of the MOD Defence Intelligence Staff and is based at RAF Brampton, near Huntingdon.
Comprising approximately 550 staff, it is the UK's only centre for the production of strategic and tactical imagery intelligence and supports National level policy and tactical level operations. Your primary role is the production of timely, accurate and relevant imagery-derived intelligence analysis and assessment through the exploitation of all forms of imagery from cell phone to satellite.
Adopting innovative approaches to problem solving, your analysis and assessments will contribute to defence objectives and those of the UK and Allied intelligence communities and wider Government. You will quickly become a subject matter expert in your assigned field of study and will work closely with colleagues across the defence and intelligence communities, contributing to the collective understanding of your particular intelligence problem-set and raising awareness of the role of imagery-derived intelligence.
There may be opportunities for foreign travel and to gain both specialist and recognised academic qualifications.
You must possess five GCE/GCSE passes, including two at A Level Grade E or above (or equivalent). A degree in a science subject or in the humanities is desirable.
Due to the nature of the work in the Ministry of Defence, it will be necessary to complete extensive developed vetting security clearance checks on individuals prior to being offered employment in a post.
