Position Purpose:

Process and analyse airborne LiDAR sensor system data. The main focus of the position will involve taking raw airborne LIDAR datasets, and processing them into point cloud data ready for point classification editing. You will be responsible for processing calibration and production datasets, checking and trouble-shooting the data and producing high quality output. You will work with our LiDAR sensor system provider, LiDAR classification analysts and project managers.

Position Requirements:

Successful candidates will have experience in airborne LiDAR point cloud creation and quality control. They will have the ability to work individually and as part of a team. They need to be self-starters and able to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills. They also need to be flexible in undertaking tasks and be prepared to help where needed, switching between tasks and projects as priorities require. The position requires staff to travel for deployments of 6-8 weeks at a time. Ideal candidates will be familiar with Optech LiDAR sensor systems, Applanix POSPac, LiDAR Mapping Suite and TerraSolid software packages
