GIS Spatial Analyst



Woodside is seeking self motivated GIS analysts / professionals to join its skilled Geomatics team, which provides GIS services to the Exploration and Development business unit as well as Management, Environment, Drilling, Engineering and Public Affairs aspects of the company.

This role will be responsible for creating, analysing and integrating spatial data. We require 2 appointments in this area, one position will be more focused on providing support to the environmental aspects of the business, the other more focused on the spatial data life cycle and data management. Opportunities exist in both for exposure to the other parts of the company and to further develop skills in Geomatics and Geospatial applications.

You will have a tertiary qualification in GIS, a combination with Environmental Science or Cartography will be highly regarded. Data management experience would be beneficial. Experience in the field of environmental modelling / monitoring is desirable for one of the positions and candidates are encouraged to demonstrate such knowledge. Some background in the Oil & Gas industry would be an advantage, but is not essential. You will have a thorough understanding of GIS concepts with a minimum of 3 years experience with ESRI ArcGIS.
