Junior Hydrogeologist - Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Based in our office in Waterloo, you will be supporting our team in a wide range of water resources, mining, and environmental projects. Your work will include both office and field work. You should have the flexibility and desire to undertake occasional international travel and assignments.

Responsibilities (commensurate with experience)

• Field work (e.g. pumping tests, groundwater sampling, response tests, well installations, deep piezometer installations, geological logging, site reconnaissance, water level measurements, stream flow gauging)
• Data management (Excel, Access, Hydro GeoAnalyst)
• Light duty GIS
• Data interpretation (pumping test analyses, response test analyses, water quality, groundwater levels)
• Supporting water balance analysis, groundwater modelling (MODFLOW, FEFLOW)
• Supporting report and proposal preparation
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum B.Sc. in Earth Science or Geophysics or B.ASc in Geological Engineering
• M.Sc. or M.ASc. is preferred
• 1 to 5 years experience
• Solid communication skills (written & verbal) in English
