Intermediate to Senior Hydrogeologist - Vancouver, BC, Canada

Based in Vancouver, Canada, you will play a key role in a wide variety of hydrogeology projects. You will be working with experienced professionals in a multi-disciplinary team. You will lead a range of water resources, mining and O&G water management projects. You should have the flexibility and desire to undertake occasional international travel and assignments.

Responsibilities (commensurate with experience)

• Specific work may include pit/mine dewatering projects, tailings pond assessments, injection and well testing, water balance modeling and water supply studies.
• Develop and operate groundwater models as required for project investigations
• Design and conduct field projects to map hydrogeological features and to install groundwater instrumentation
• Interact with clients in the mining, resource and oil and gas industries
• Prepare reports and other deliverables to communicate project findings

Requirements

• Good first degree in Earth Sciences or related subject with MSc in hydrogeology
• 2-10 years relevant experience as a Hydrogeologist
• Consulting experience is a major plus
• Broad knowledge of mining water related issues and water management for the O&G industry
• Project management experience
• Experience with Schlumberger Water Services software is a major advantage (Visual MODFLOW*, HydroGeo Analyst*, AquaChem* and AquiferTest* )
• Experience with other common groundwater software a plus
