Principal Mining Hydrogeologist - Denver, Colorado or Tucson, Arizona

Based in Denver or Tucson, you will manage the largest projects of our office and projects that have a high level of risk or complexity in the mining sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of technical experts (hydrogeologists, geochemists, modelers, project engineers, and field technicians) for our large mine hydrology projects
  • Take a leading role in business development and client relationship management
  • Plan, execute, and supervise field programs for groundwater studies and EIA's in mining
  • Oversee groundwater characterization studies for open pit and underground mine developments
  • Manage the development of site-wide water management solutions throughout the life cycle of a mining project, from the initial planning stages through the operating phase to site closure

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, Geology or other Earth Science related field, MS or PhD a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering or Earth Sciences
  • Solid understanding of principles and practice of mine hydrology and mining geochemistry issues
  • Track record managing large projects in mining hydrogeology
  • Minimum of 6 years of Project Management Experience involving direct client interaction
  • Must have a second domain of expertise
