Recognizing CO2 capture & geological storage as a serious mitigation option where Schlumberger can significantly contribute, Carbon Services was created to develop technical and business solutions aimed at storing CO2 in deep underground formations, for permanent storage and/or enhanced recovery purposes. Schlumberger Carbon Services provides a portfolio of technological and business solutions for geological storage of CO2 and focus on Global warming, Carbon capture, Storage mitigation options and legal framework, policies and public acceptance.


Geomechanical Engineer


Requirements:

  • Msc, at least, in one of the above specialities: Geology, engineering, civil engineering, earth sciences. Msc in Mechanical engineering preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years relevant experience
  • He should provide technical support to local operations by conducting geo-mechanical studies on CO2 storage projects.
  • He should apply best knowledge and best practices, and perform all necessary work to characterize the mechanical behaviour of rocks and rock masses at in situ conditions and to predict their response to the loads due to well drilling, well completion and CO2 injection.
