Senior Environmental Scientist - Saudi Arabia

You will be the Field Sampling Coordinator on a monumental water study conducted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team including a laboratory QA/QC coordinator, a project hydrogeologist, and a data management and mapping team leader.

Responsibilities include:

• developing a detailed field sampling plan that includes descriptions of all field parameter measurements and water quality sample collection procedures,
• Managing and training all field sampling personnel including sampling sub-contractors
• Performing most of the sampling in the Riyadh Metropolitan area and in the immediately surrounding areas.
• Coordinating water quality sample delivery with the project laboratory.
• Supervising and executing the addition of field data to the project data base,
• Developing report quality figures and tables of field water quality parameters, assist in report preparation.

Requirements:

• Good Masters Degree in hydrochemistry, geochemistry, or environmental sciences.
• At least 7 years' relevant experience
• Extensive experience in conducting drinking water investigations (including compiling and reviewing data)
• Good knowledge of sampling and analysis program (quality assurance/ quality control procedure)
• Experience in communicating with sub-contractors
• International experience desired
• Good written and communication skills ( preparing work plans, and reports)
• Experience in data management
• An experience in Saudi Arabia is a major plus
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Arabic
