Operation Manager, Denver
The Operation Manager will be in charge of the organization and coordination of products, personnel and services being offered from the Denver office location. Responsibilities include financial control and planning for the operation, directing proposal efforts, ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction, manpower planning, assessing staffing needs and hiring new personnel.
Position responsibilities:
- Responsible for the quality of services delivered to the client through close coordination with Project Managers. Responsible for manpower allocation, application of appropriate senior technical reviews for project deliverables, personnel training and mentoring, contract and budget tracking, and coordination of project support functions.
- Obtains client feedback through interactions with Project Managers, direct client contact and service quality meetings.
- Responsible for the overall financial management of the location operations, including profitability.
- Manages bids and proposals by approving, pricing, identifying contract type and terms, and ensuring client satisfaction. The Operations Manager supports cross products sales strategies and contact between the client, SWS Products Group and SLB Services.
- Responsible for the effective utilization, training and development of technical personnel assigned to the operation, and career development of all subordinates in conjunction with other Regional and SWS Corporate personnel.
- Promotes a visible QHSE commitment and implementation of Schlumberger policies and standards in conjunction with the SWS QHSE Manager.
- Responsible for effective communication within the SWS Operations and Products Groups, clients, suppliers and third parties.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15+ years experience in hydrological and/or engineering consulting
- M.S. in hydrology, civil engineering or similar technical field
- Proven track record of successful project management and client satisfaction
- Sound understanding of the consulting business and key market sectors
- Good communication skills - oral and written
- Strong decision making
- Excellent planning skills
- Effective listening and interpersonal skills
- People manager, able to motivate and mentor staff
