Professor (W 3) of Geodetic Sensor Systems
The intention is that the successful candidate takes up the appointment on 01.10.2021. The postholder will be a member of the Board of Directors of the Geodetic Institute.
We are seeking for a personality who represents the field of "Geodetic Sensor Systems" in research and teaching with enthusiasm and innovative power.
You will further advance the field of "Geodetic Sensor Systems" by taking responsibility in research, innovation and teaching. The basis for this is your strong track record in “Geodetic Sensor Systems” and your breadth of understanding across the spectrum of fundamental and application-oriented research, including developing new and applying approved methods. You have the expertise in creatively combining fundamental principles with experimental research and engineering applications.
In the area of academic education, you represent your discipline in a didactically competent manner in the Geodesy and Geoinformatics programs (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) as well as in programs of adjacent disciplines. Likewise, you contribute your profound knowledge and practical experience to the qualification and support of early career scientists.
Participation in academic self-administration is part of the KIT’s philosophy as well as interdisciplinary cooperation and acquisition of third-party funds for research and innovation. Teaching experience and proved didactic skills evidenced by a habilitation degree or an equivalent qualification that may also have been acquired outside university are expected. The recruitment requirements according to § 47 LHG (Law of Baden-Württemberg on Universities and Colleges) apply.
