Los Alamos National LaboratoryPostdoctoral Research Associate in Seismic ImagingThe Geophysics Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks an outstanding candidate to conduct research in seismic imaging for monitoring geologic carbon sequestration and enhanced geothermal systems. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research team to develop high-resolution imaging/full-waveform inversion methods and apply them to real data. Required Skills: A strong background in high-resolution seismic imaging, acoustic/elastic-wave modeling/inversion; excellent programming skills in C/Fortran; and experience in parallel computing. Education: A PhD in Geophysics or Applied Mathematics completed within the last five years, or soon to be completed, is required.
