Lecturer in Soil Carbon
School of Human and Environmental Science
This appointment is full-time, permanent and starts on 1 September 2010
Grade 7 - £33,600 to £45,155 per annum
A Lecturer in Soil Carbon is required within the School of Human and Environmental Sciences to expand the range of research and teaching excellence within the University of Reading in Earth System Science.
We are especially interested in candidates with an expertise in one of the following areas but are willing to consider those with expertise in other areas of Earth Systems Science: carbon sequestration, carbon biogeochemistry, soil quality.
You will have:
- a track record of publication in international peer-reviewed journals and experience of securing research funding and project completion
- evidence of engagement with relevant research organisations and/or activities at national and/or international level
- ideally evidence of inter-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary research or the potential to engage in such activity within the School and University
- experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
- a track record of postgraudate student supervision or the commitment to take part in such activities
