Qualification
PhD in Soil Physics and Soil and Water Management.
Experience and Competencies:
Teaching and research in Soil Physics, Soil and Soil Water Management in an academic environment at a tertiary level institution is desirable. A publication record of international refereed journals would also be an advantage. Must be able to demonstrate a capacity to develop future research.
Special Expertise/Responsibilities:
- Teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels on the subject area of Soil Physics, Soil and Soil Water Management and Conservation, Irrigation and Drainage Technology
- Conduct relevant research and supervise graduate students in his/her area of competence
- Participate in cross-disciplinary research projects
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Personal Attributes:
Demonstrates the ability to contribute significantly to teaching, research, curriculum development and supervision of graduate students. Must be a team player and student centred.
