Postdoctoral Research Fellow Positions: Laboratory of Soft Soils and Geoenviromental Engeering


The MOE Key Laboratory of Soft Soils and Geoenviromental Engeering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China is seeking several full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellows to join the laboratory research groups on geotechnics.

General requirements

The candidates should hold (or be near the completion of) a relevant PhD/DPhil in geotechnical engineering and have published 2 or more SCI papers as the first or corresponding author. Researchers who have appropriate experience in geotechnical risk assessment and reliability analysis or environmental geotechnic are especially encouraged to apply. Please note that the candidates are also expected to have very good communication and scientific writing skills, independent thinking and creativity.

Other information

The research fellows will probably be recruited with an annual salary up to 300,000 RMB including basic salary, post-doctoral allowance, work allowance, housing provident fund, medical insurance, etc.. The laboratory will also solve the settlement, housing and children's education problems for postdoctoral research fellows in accordance with the relevant policies of Zhejiang University and provide assistance for Visa and other administrative procedures, prior to and upon arrival. A supervisor will be assigned to each fellow. The laboratory will organize introductory seminars and activities to integrate the fellows into the existing research teams of the laboratory, which already hosts postdoctoral researchers, visiting students and visiting professors from various continents.
