Technician in Hydrologic Modeling

Job Description

This position is for a year or more. The main duty is to assist in the development of a computer model for simulating flow and salt transport, evapotranspiration, soil and salt movements in the riparian zones, and interaction with streamflow in semi-arid river systems. The application of a routing model to the Pecos River is also expected.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a BS, preferably MS with Degree in Hydrology Agricultural/Civil Engineering or soil science majoring in soil physics. Candidates with computer programming especially FORTRAN and salt water transport models will be preferred.

Compensation

Depending on qualification but not to exceed the state wage guidelines.
