Service Centered ('Seller-Doer') Senior Leader(s) in the areas of:

  • Water Resources Management
  • Hydrologic Modeling and Statistical Analysis
  • Climate Change/Hydroclimatology
  • Stream Restoration (sediment transport and fluvial geomorphology)
  • Forecasting
  • Water Quality
  • Reservoir Operations

The Boulder Colorado E&E Office focuses on providing water systems analysis and scientific investigations including hydrologic and other impacts of climate change, water resources model and applications development, and general water resource engineering and GIS services to state and local governments, the private sector, federal agencies, and international clients. We have immediate opportunities for one or more service centered (i.e. 'seller-doer') Business Development/Technical Leader(s) located in downtown Boulder, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative team to identify opportunities, win projects and provide leadership and technical expertise on projects.
  • Will be responsible for both project management and business development activities that will identify, win and deliver projects for clients.
  • Bring existing and identify new business opportunities, and provide leadership in identifying, capturing and conducting new business to inspire organizational growth beyond existing capacities.
  • Show outstanding technical leadership and provide unambiguous management to staff assigned to projects
  • Effective management of all aspects of projects, including staff performance, budgets and milestones, client relations and expectations
  • Work and lead effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to marketing and proposal development across disciplines
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute positively and energetically to a lively, fun workplace

Qualifications

  • Recognized technical leader trusted by existing clients, and will be responsible for rapid expansion of an existing water resources engineering consulting practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in market analysis, business development, proposal development, and project management.
  • Highly motivated and able to develop relationships with co-workers, management and clients
  • Creativity in technical problem solving and business development/marketing activities
  • Positive team attitude and ability to collaborate with others to incorporate and enhance technical capital outside area of primary expertise
  • 12+ years of technical and marketing experience in directly related subject matter area(s)
  • Graduate degree preferred, proven sales record and evidence of current client(s) essential.
  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
