The effective management of our water resources is critical to the well-being of over 20 million people, our industry, precious environmental assets and commercial infrastructure. To address the threat of future water scarcity, the Australian Government has embarked on an ambitious, multi-billion dollar national water reform agenda.

As part of a package to accelerate the pace of reform, the Bureau of Meteorology has been given responsibility to transform Australia's water information. Backed by key stakeholders, AUD$450 million and legislative powers, this water information initiative will deliver national water resource accounts and assessments through the development and maintenance of a freely accessible, integrated, water information system - the Australian Water Resources Information System (AWRIS).

To succeed we must build a world-class team of highly innovative and committed hydrologists to achieve a global benchmark in scale, integration, technical complexity and impact.

We are looking for 32 specialists across a wide range of levels, including Chief Hydrologists, Senior Hydrologists, Early Career Hydrologists & Graduates
