Department of GeologyVisiting Assistant Professor of HydrogeologyWe invite applications for a temporary (10 month) appointment as Adjunct Instructor with an in house title of Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology, University at Buffalo effective August 20, 2009. The stipend is $35-40K, depending upon qualifications. The successful applicant must have completed (or nearly completed) a Ph.D. degree in hydrogeology or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment, a commitment to effective teaching, and demonstrated research publication potential. Teaching duties will include one hydrogeology course per semester and to participate in graduate student supervision through service on thesis committees and/or as research advisor, as appropriate.
