Research Scientist - Hydrogeological Modeller
The Position CSIRO's Groundwater Hydrology Program requires a Hydrogeological Modeller to conduct innovative research in the general area of groundwater hydrology. The research will have a particular focus on flow and transport processes in complex and fractured geological settings, and will evaluate impacts of mining and unconventional gas exploitation on regional groundwater systems. Research in the group is closely aligned with Australia's strategic direction in groundwater research, including assessing the sustainable yields of groundwater systems. The group carries out research in projects funded by many major clients including the Commonwealth's National Water Commission, Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, and Bureau of Meteorology Water Division. Many research studies are carried out in collaboration with the project funders, such as the Goyder Institute, Murray-Darling Basin Authority and State water agencies. Specifically you will:
