Assistant/Associate Specialist in Hydrogeophysics

The Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) and the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics and Planetology (HIGP), University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM), jointly seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Specialist (locus of tenure in WRRC) in hydrogeophysics to provide leadership in assembling and archiving new and historic data sets of value to groundwater researchers at UHM and around the State of Hawaii. The selectee will aid investigators to obtain the necessary State permits to conduct groundwater research in Hawaii, and engage stakeholders and decision makers throughout the State in order to provide data, information and technical assistance in the development of policies and practices in support of maintaining the sustainable use and supply of freshwater resources.
The position reports to the WRRC and HIGP Directors and, during the first five years of the position, to the Principal Investigator of the UH EPSCoR project, which is focused on the analysis of groundwater resources in Hawaii.
