Join a multi-disciplinary hydrological research team Post-doctoral and Research Scientists - Hydrological Research TeamPOST-DOCTORAL AND RESEARCH SCIENTISTS interested in undertaking research across diverse aspects of the water, carbon and energy cycles are invited to join a multi-disciplinary research group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). We are seeking candidates to undertake research in the area of land surface hydrological modeling and data assimilation. A background in model programming, commissioning and simulation of the hydrological cycle using state-of-the-art coupled or uncoupled modeling systems is required, ideally with experience in data assimilation schemes for the integration of remote sensing data. There are also open positions for candidates with expertise in arid-zone hydrology; rainfall-runoff modeling; hydrometeorological forecasting and prediction; in-situ monitoring; and those with expertise inapplications of geostatistics, stochastic hydrology and regional climate modeling. Located on the Red Sea 80 km north of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, KAUST is an international graduate level research University, dedicated to advancing science and technology through bold and collaborative research in areas of regional and global importance. KAUST offers an attractive tax-free compensation package, with on-campus housing and health benefits included. Positions are available for a period of up to 3 years and come with considerable research support and opportunities for international collaboration and travel. Applicants should send their CV, a cover letter specifying the position they are applying for and the contact information of at least three referees to Prof. Matthew McCabe at hydrology@kaust.edu.sa . A review of applications will begin immediately and continue until positions are filled. |
