The aim of the research project is the quantification of environmental impacts using life cycle analysis (LCA), risks (risk analysis) and/or investigation of coupled processes in thermal aquifer storage with a focus on Germany. The research project is embedded in the Helmholtz program "Geoenergy". Currently, a demo facility is also planned at KIT as part of this project.
You have a university degree in one of the following disciplines: Applied Geosciences, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, (Geo-)Physics or a comparable scientific degree and are interested in working in an international and interdisciplinary team. Ideally, you have experience in the field of geothermal storage technologies, life cycle assessment, risk analysis or modelling of coupled underground processes.
