Lynker Technologies is seeking a river scientist with training and experience in fluvial geomorphology/river hydraulics (MS preferred, minimum BS).
Candidate will based in Fort Collins CO, and should have sound experience in hydrological and geomorphological stream measurement and familiarity the Rosgen natural stream channel design approach (training in Wildland Hydrology courses I, II, and/or Ill is ideal). Candidate should have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
This will be a full-time (40 hrs/week) position to work on the organization of legacy hydrological and geomorphic data. Work activities will include data and systems management and the development of decision support tools to help wildlife refuge managers and regional water resource staff access fluvial geomorphic data collected over a half-century. The dataset includes field measurements, notebooks, photos, and analyses from the career work of Dr. Dave Rosgen. This will provide a valuable resource for the USFWS and for river scientists worldwide.
