The University of O´Higgins is a recently founded public university in the O´Higgins region, central Chile, established with the aim of developing high quality and innovative research and teaching. A rapidly growing institution, currently hosts research institutes in engineering, education, health, social sciences and agronomic sciences, as well as twenty undergraduate programs in related fields.
The Institute of Engineering Sciences at University of O´Higgins seeks to appoint a full time Assistant Professor in water resources. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree or to be very close to graduation, and have research expertise in physical hydrogeology, hydrology or water resource management. Interest in interdisciplinary research with other institutes and research groups as well as the industry, with application to mining, agriculture, energy or the environment is highly encouraged. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is also required.
