The Environmental Studies Center, Qatar University is the leading research center in the region has recently acquired a top notch research vessel loaded with the latest technologies to study the rich coastal marine waters of the Arabian Gulf and the neighboring water bodies. We are looking for experienced scholars to work with the present team of Qatar University and bring- in an international flavor and expertise to the region. You should have a Ph.D. in your field with a minimum of three your experience, good publication record and must have fieldwork experience.

Duties and responsibilities: The candidate will be mainly responsible for :
- Surface and ground water resources
- Desalination plants
- Secure external funding
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in water science and supervision of student's work
Competencies:
- Excellent organizational ability and strong interpersonal skills;
- Strong measurement and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work within a diverse, multicultural environment;
- Ability to deal with challenges.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skill in English;
- Proven knowledge in water resources characterization and management in arid regions including groundwater and treated sewage water
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in water science
- Three years of experience in a similar environment
