Hydrographic Data Technician

At the UK Hydrographic Office, we produce nautical products and services for the Royal Navy and merchant shipping. You'll help us to be the world's best provider of hydrographic data services.
We will rely on you to update, manipulate, maintain, search or extract data from our databases. Working with a team of specialists, you'll carry out research to support our navigational products. Your important duties could range from sourcing data for capture and distribution to creating chart updates and Notices to Mariners to helping to create a range of products for the mariner.
To join our specialist team, you'll have an interest in areas like GIS or navigation systems, as well as cartography, hydrography and/or oceanography. With great communication skills, you're keen to learn new software and adapt to change in a fast paced environment. We will provide training and will support you to develop and progress.
This is a Ministry of Defence non-reserved post for which applicants must be British citizens, citizens of the Irish Republic, a Commonwealth state or EEA nations.
