Scientific programmer: Climate model development (digital twins of the climate system) (m/f/d)Background The Climate Dynamics section at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) in Bremerhaven, Germany, invites applications for a scientific programmer in support of the development of the next-generation kilometer-scale climate model IFS-FESOM2. The successful candidate will work with leading European climate modellers, computing scientists and software engineers in the context of national (e.g. BMBF WarmWorld) and European projects (e.g., nextGEMS, https://nextgems-h2020.eu) on developing digital twins of the climate system in support of adaptation to climate change.
