The Chair of Environmental Meteorology at the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources of the University of Freiburg is looking for a technical employee (f/m/d) for a full-time position based 100% at École Polytechnique, Palaiseau, Paris. As part of an EU research project, a measurement campaign is being carried out to research the urban atmosphere in and around Paris. Extensive measurements will be made with ground-based remote sensing systems, in particular using ceilometers, wind lidars, radiometers (broadband, thermal cameras), and scintillometers. The measurement campaign will take place from autumn 2022 to spring 2024. It will be planned and carried out in close cooperation with a local scientific staff member and further supported by scientific and technical staff in Freiburg. Workshop, lab, desk space is at the brand-new state of the art SIRTA atmospheric research observatory in Paris, Palaiseau, providing a unique opportunity to work with many other like-minded technical and fieldwork staff.
