At the Department of Earth Sciences at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the University of Graz is seeking to appoint a

Tenure Track Professor of Dynamic Modelling of Earth System Processes

(40 hours per week; selection procedure in accordance with Section 99 (5) of the Universities Act (UG); duration of employment is initially a fixed-term of six years with tenure track in accordance with the Salaried Employees Act (AngG); expected starting date October 1st 2024)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of an internationally visible research and teaching program in the field of “Numerical Modelling” in Earth Sciences with a research core area of numerical modelling of geological, in particular crustal and mantle processes at various scales. Cooperation partnerships within the NAWI Graz Geocenter and the Field of Excellence Climate Change Graz are preferred. We also expect gender mainstreaming skills.
