We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow for a 1 or 2-year project at Memorial University of Newfoundland supervised by Professors Alison Malcolm and Colin Farquharson, funded jointly by Total and NSERC. The project is on the joint inversion and uncertainty quantification of seismic and electromagnetic (EM) data for monitoring CO2 sequestered in the subsurface and/or oil and gas reservoirs during production. The project will involve implementing, testing and applying algorithms to model EM and seismic data and to perform joint inversions and uncertainty quantification via the development of innovative computational tools. Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. in geophysics or a related field, and should submit a CV, cover letter detailing how their expertise fit within the project, a statement of research interests and the name and contact information of three references to Evaluation of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
