The Northern Territory Geological Survey (NTGS) provides unique opportunities to work on exciting and diverse regional-scale geoscientific projects in a variety of geological terranes. NTGS is a dynamic organisation with a high-tech approach to geoscience and data delivery, and a strong focus on supporting mineral and petroleum exploration. The position offers the opportunity to undertake geology in spectacular landscapes and in some of Australia's most isolated regions. Furthermore, you'll be living in a unique environment that offers an unprecedented lifestyle.
NTGS is looking for an experienced and motivated geoscientist to lead multidisciplinary projects focussed on understanding the geological framework and mineral systems of basement terranes of the Northern Territory. This position will work closely with the Manager Basement Geoscience and Project Geologist(s) to ensure regional mapping and mineral systems studies are effectively integrated. This is a rare opportunity to do fundamental geoscientific work in terranes where, relative to other parts of Australia, there is still scope to make exciting new geological discoveries. We are seeking complementary geoscientific skill sets relevant to regional geological mapping and mineral systems studies in basement terranes.
