The subproject is carried out in cooperation with numerous research institutions in Germany (e.g. Ruhr-Uni-Bochum, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Uni Duisburg-Essen). The primary goal of the subproject is the verification of trace elements as process and source indicators for the mobility and input of pollutants in groundwater. For this purpose, the complex interrelationships that control the mobility of trace elements in groundwater are to be recorded and the transport of selected trace elements is to be modeled.
