In this exciting new role, you will work closely with the CMERC Director, researchers, and CQUniversity facility, campus and research managers to coordinate operational aspects of the Coastal and Marine Ecosystems Research Centre (CMERC). Using your exceptional communication and leadership skills, you will create partnerships and opportunities with industry and governments and lead a team responsible for supporting research activities, lab operations, implementation and evaluation of the centre's activities.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of CMERC aims and objectives.
  • Proven experience managing projects including project scheduling, undertaking risk analysis, contract management, cost estimating and financial management / reporting.
  • Proven experience consulting and communicating with stakeholders and industry members all levels, influencing decisions and negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or extensive experience and management expertise or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. (Desirable)
