Postdoctoral position in Marine Nitrogen Cycle

Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences https://www.iopan.pl/en/ is currently searching for a Postdoctoral Investigator to join the Marine Biogeochemistry Laboratory. This is a temporary, full-time position, and is eligible for benefits. The initial appointment will be for 18 months, beginning in spring 2023.

The Marine Biogeochemistry Laboratory is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Investigator position focusing on the denitrification and anammox process both in the water column and sediments of the Baltic Sea. The successful candidate will work on a project funded by National Science Center IDEAL: Investigation of seasonal variability of the water column and sediment DEnitrification and Anammox in the BaLtic Sea to study denitrification and anammox rates using chemical and microbial techniques (DNA and RNA sequencing) http://www.iopan.gda.pl/projects/Ideal/index.html

The Postdoctoral Investigator will have a chance to apply for additional grants within the NCN (https://www.ncn.gov.pl/en ). The institution has a postdoctoral community. While the primary focus of the work will be in research, the Postdoctoral Investigator will have the opportunity to participate in educational and outreach activities associated with the project.
