The Department of Earth Sciences offers a modern Graduate Program offering MSc and BSc students the opportunity to pursue PhD degrees. We provide high-quality education in geology and geophysics to prepare students for a wide range of socially and ethically responsible professional careers. All our students will take part in innovative projects which are part of our Faculty member's wide-ranging research activity.

The Department of Earth Sciences at Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi is seeking highly motivated applicants for doctoral degrees in Earth Sciences.

Some projects include:

  1. The magnitude and expansion of CO2 fixation on land and implications for atmospheric composition during the first 3 Ga of sedimentary record on Earth. This project will involve some lab visits for metal stable isotope measurements in the Isotope Geochemistry Group (University of Tübingen, Germany) and in the CELTIC Lab (Cardiff University, UK).   2. The evolution of uranium (bio)geochemical cycle in the aftermaths of the Great Oxidation Event. This project will involve some lab visits for metal stable isotope measurements in the CELTIC Lab (Cardiff University, UK). Requirements:

Candidate should have MSc degree in geology or a related field.

Positions are fully funded including tuition and a competitive monthly stipend.
