About the center

The selected candidates would be associated with thed Space and Planetary Science Center (SPSC) at Khalifa University ( The center was formed in July 2021, and focuses on the analysis of data from current space missions, as well as the development of future ones. The center's members have privileged data access to a number of space missions and instruments including HiRISE on board NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, and CaSSIS on board the European Space Agency (ESA)'s ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter, and Emirates Mars "Hope" Mission, as well as involvement in future missions including the Emirates Lunar Mission, and ESA's Comet Interceptor mission. The center is currently setting up an image planning and photogrammetry facility, which would be run by the successful candidate.

The duration of this position is 12 months with possibility of extension depending on performance level and availability of funding.

General requirements: Master in Earth Sciences, Geodesy or any related field. Prior experience with ArcGIS is essential. Experience with using SOCET SET or SOCET GXP, and/or workstations utilizing 3D PluraView monitors is highly desirable, but not required.
