Associate Professorship of Sustainable Management (m/f/d)
The successful candidate will be an exceptional mid-career scientist with a demonstrable track record in driving forward the economics and sustainability agenda from a geoscience perspective and be able to offer vision and leadership. We invite applications from across the full breadth of sustainability, geoscience, and management, including, but not limited to, environmental economics, supply of critical raw materials, geohazards and sustainable geo-energy, hydrogeology, marine and coastal geoscience, and palaeoclimatology. We also highly value cross-disciplinary research and anticipate the successful candidate will develop new collaborations with other groups, both within the School of Science and more widely across the university.
In this position, you will support our research and teaching activities in the field of Earth Sciences, Sustainability and Management of Environmental Resources. The successful candidate will be teaching Bachelor level courses (for example, "Sustainability and Infrastructure Investments" and "Financial and Sustainable Management of Natural Risks"), supporting and advising students on their studies and supervise Bachelor, Master and PhD theses and research projects. The candidate is expected to engage in innovative research in the field of Sustainability Economics/Resource Economics and collaborate with colleagues from the field of Earth Sciences.
