GNS Science is New Zealand's primary Institute for research on understanding earthquake hazards and reducing earthquake risks and is recognised internationally in these areas. We are seeking a talented, motivated seismologist for a permanent, full-time position in our Avalon, Lower Hutt office. The Seismologist will undertake research to develop or apply seismic / seismogeodetic techniques for earthquake source inversion, and broadband ground motion simulation. They will propose and contribute to high-priority funded research projects, and earthquake response as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have the following:
