Context - Kaupapa To work with an experienced team of groundwater experts to understand the groundwater systems in Canterbury and provide scientific advice to decision makers on resource management To help with increasing demand for groundwater science, we have this senior scientist role to add to our Groundwater Science team. About the Role - Kōrero mō te tūranga With the largest groundwater science team in New Zealand, Environment Canterbury (Canterbury Regional Council) is at the forefront of water management in the country. Our team of 23 groundwater professionals work on challenging issues including land use effects on groundwater quality, sustainable groundwater use and implementation of the Essential Freshwater programme. As Senior Scientist in the team, you will provide advice on planning and consenting decisions, design and conduct, and help to inform the community about the quantity and quality state of the groundwater resources.
